We are excited to announce the return of our annual golf day (which was cancelled last year due to lockdown restrictions), we give an update of some of our sponsorships, and Discovery health has announced their increase for 2022, which brings financial relief of R2.6 billion to Discovery members.
DISCOVERY MEDICAL AID: 2022 PRICE INCREASE
We are pleased to announce that the DHMS contribution increase scheduled to take place on the 1st of May 2022 has been deferred and will now only take place on 1 October 2022, providing additional financial relief of R2.6 billion to members.
Please note the following:
A flat increase of 7.9% across all DHMS plans will be applied on 1 October 2022.
Additional Medical Savings for October to December 2022 will be allocated in March 2022.
There will be no changes to limits, deductibles, co-payments, and thresholds.
KeyCare Income Bands will be adjusted on 1 October 2022, and KeyCare Income Verification will be done in October 2022.
Furthermore, Discovery announced that members are allowed to change their plan types twice this year, effective 1 May 2022 and 1 October 2022. The deadline is 30 April 2022 for May 2022 plan change requests

2022 WALLSTREET FINANCIAL SERVICES CHARITY GOLF DAY
Wallstreet Financial Services has always emphasized giving back to the community. Social responsibility is taken seriously as we aim to make a difference in the lives around us. Today’s times are challenging and if we can help make a difference to at least one person, then we know we have done some good for others.
While our boxing sponsorships continue through this year, we have revived our charity golf day again after its cancellation last year due to the Covid pandemic. We are hopeful to raise significant funding for three charities and to really give back to the community around us.
BOXING SPONSORSHIPS
Before we jump into the excitement of our charity golf day, here is a little information on some sponsorships we are actively involved with.
We have been supporting and sponsoring local talent - two inspiring boxers, namely Baby G - who is not shy about winning in the ring, and Jackson Chauke, who is title holder of both WBO Global Fly weight and South African Fly weight. Both boxers are growing daily and are the future of boxing in South Africa. We look forward to supporting their talent in the ring as they proudly represent the Wallstreet Financial Services brand Nationally.
Both Baby G and Jackson Chauke will be present at our charity golf day. A fitting duo since Brian Mitchell will be playing and talking in the evening too.
ALL ABOUT THE ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF DAY
We are excited to announce that our annual charity golf day will be held on Friday, the 10th of June 2022, at the Modderfontein Golf Course - a pristine course that challenges players with its many water hazards.
The day will start early with a shotgun start at 11 am. After driving, chipping, and putting your way through 18 sponsored holes, you will enjoy an evening full of entertainment, valuable networking, prizes, and memorable food. Selected segments of the evening will be hosted by boxing legend Brian Mitchell and former professional rugby player Pietie Meyer. You can expect to pass by some well-known celebrities, like Morgan Beatbox, who will be coming in high spirits to brighten up the golf course and ignite laughter in the evening.
And while we are anticipating an exciting day and evening - it is all for a good cause - three great causes actually! The money made on the day will be donated to the following charities:

Put your brand out there among some of the finest players and business people by sponsoring a hole for R2,500.
Whether you play off a 30 or a 1 -don't worry about your level of golf, just bring along some golf clubs, lots of golf balls, and be prepared for lots of laughs. Don't forget to have some cash handy for those mulligans! A 4-ball costs R2,500 and includes an evening of prizes and dinner.
