Happy Spring Day!

Updated: Oct 19, 2022

In this edition of our newsletter I want to share some topics with you, which are relevant and I hope that you find value from it.

Spring is here, are you moving and reflecting?

The sun is rising earlier, waking up to birds chirping in the mornings, and the general temperature being a little hotter. The distinct change of season has also welcomed the birds back, and you can hear them chirping from early mornings.

Runners and Cyclists are back training, and the gyms also seem to be busier. If you are training, or thinking about doing it, I hope you are engaging in a wellness benefit, like Vitality or Multiply. You see you are rewarded through points, which in turn give you discounts at many retailers, but more importantly living a healthier lifestyle, leads to living longer.

If you do want to know more about it, speak to us to help you.

Moving into September, the final push to the end of the year has happened, and when speaking to people, its hard to grasp how quickly this year has actually passed. And Covid seems to be all but forgotten as our lives have started normalizing again.

I like to reflect on my goals every quarter that I have set out to achieve in the beginning of the year and where I am tracking them.

Pause for a minute and think about what your goals for the year were and where you are with completing them?

2022 Claims Update

I would like to say that our claims have been better this year, but it has not. Our claims during the year have not been as many as recent years, and to date we have processed a total of 9 claims, which have consisted of death claims, critical illness claims, Income Disability and retrenchment. The majority of our claims remain Critical illness, and I always stress the importance of having sufficient cover in place.

Tax Season 2022

The deadline for the 2022 income tax season is rapidly approaching, and please bear in mind that this year the season closes 24 October 2022.

Also the penalties for non compliance is very strict, so please don't delay in wrapping up your 2022 return. If you have outstanding previous years, you want to get it up to date asap because you will incur a penalty which is calculated each month per return outstanding.
